I heard this in a Bike Bootcamp that I took the other day and it really spoke to me. Allow change and your goals to inspire and excite you. It’s your life, fight for it!

This week is a crazy one for our family! Between t This week is a crazy one for our family! Between teaching PE, personal training sessions, coaching Workit Circuit, Frank’s photo shoot, and Nico’s multiple baseball games, we have a lot going on! I know that getting dinner on the table is going to be a tough one, so today I’m food prepping crockpot chicken for lunches and two dinners, as well as beet and carrot salad for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Also prepped some modified Superhero muffins for snacks throughout the week. Having dinner squared away for at least three of the days makes a huge difference! Meal prep doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s okay to make enough of a few dishes to last for multiple nights, especially when you know it’s going to be a hell of a week! Happy Sunday!

Running has always been a huge passion of mine. I Running has always been a huge passion of mine. I used to run 5-6 days a week because I thought that was what I had to do in order to stay in running shape. As I’ve gotten older, wiser, and dealt with multiple injuries, I’ve learned that it’s more important to have quality runs, rather than junk miles that take a toll on my body. Now I run 3 quality runs a week: intervals; tempo; and my long endurance run. My body feels better and my running has definitely improved!

Last night’s dinner and tonight’s dinner… A Last night’s dinner and tonight’s dinner…

An easy way to meal prep is to make double of something. Last night we had Asian slaw with sweet potatoes and shrimp. I chopped double the ingredients for the slaw to have tonight. Now all I have to do is make the protein and roast some carrots and we’re set for tonight! Keep it simple!

Taking a rest day is mentally very challenging for Taking a rest day is mentally very challenging for me. I have such a hard time with the idea of not getting a morning sweat session in.

However rest days or even active recovery days are so important! Your body needs a day to heal! Thursdays are usually the day I do interval work on the tread, but yesterday I woke up and my legs felt like lead. I needed a day. So instead of running, I did some core work and yoga. Just what my body needed! Today my legs felt refreshed and ready for those intervals!

Listen to your body. If it’s yelling out for a rest day or some yoga, listen. Your body will thank you!

1. Eat the rainbow - aim for eating a variety of fruits and vegetables.
2. Eat whole foods, not processed food.
3. Stay away from artificial sugars and added sugar - read the labels.
4. Eat at regular intervals - skipping meals can lead to over eating (I eat 5 “meals” a day).
5. Try to eat protein at every meal - either plant based or lean animal protein.
6. Keep meal planning simple and plan in advance.

4 weeks done! That went by fast! I spent the last 4 weeks done! That went by fast!

I spent the last 4 weeks following a gut health program, and I have definitely noticed some changes!

I dropped 4 lbs and see more muscle definition. The bloating and inflammation are gone. I am feeling stronger and faster in my workouts, especially my runs.

I am actually falling asleep at night and sleeping straight through the night. I used to lay awake at night because my shoulders and wrist would ache. I had tendinitis in my wrist from nursing Mason. These pains are gone! My guess is that the area is no longer inflamed.

I no longer have stomach cramps when I run. I’m actually able to complete a run without having to run to a bathroom.

I am excited that many of the other women in my group also had fantastic results and are continuing the program through May.

I can’t wait to jump back into our May Bootcamp tomorrow with all the ladies continuing on and those who will be doing it for the first time. They are going to fall in love with the process and results… just in time for summer.

We still have a few spots available in our group. Message me for the details!

What can you celebrate this week? I’m celebrati What can you celebrate this week?

I’m celebrating that I’m finishing up my fourth week of my gut health program. I’m blown away by the results! Definitely celebrating that I’m actually falling asleep at night when I get in bed versus staring at the ceiling and waking up every 2 hours. Love that I’ve lost the bloat and inflammation and feel so much better all around.

I’m also celebrating that I’ll be leading another group of women in the next few weeks through this program. Can’t wait to see and hear about their results! There’s definitely still time to join us if you’re interested!

Share your celebrations in the comments below!
