I was not feeling motivated this morning. Stayin I was not feeling motivated this morning. 

Staying in my warm bed and cuddling with my son seemed like a much better idea than going downstairs to workout. 

Consistency and discipline pushed me out of that bed. I know myself and how training makes me feel. I know that afterwards I will be more present for my son and feel good the rest of the day.

Mom guilt is inevitable. Make the time for yourself. Make them your why, rather than your why not.

Matcha Collagen Latte This my favorite post-worko Matcha Collagen Latte

This my favorite post-workout drink. I have it every morning with my breakfast. I also love to drink one around 3 pm when I hit that mid-afternoon slump.

Collagen is an important nutrient for athletes looking to give their skin, nails, hair, bones, and joints a much needed boost.

Matcha is high in antioxidants and phytonutrients. It’s also energizing and contains about a third of the caffeine of coffee. 

1/2-1 teaspoon unsweetened matcha green tea powder
1 scoop or 1/2 tablespoon collagen peptides powder
8-10 oz boiling water
A few drops of liquid stevia or your sweetener of choice (honey is delicious in it too!!)
Splash of unsweetened almond milk creamer 

Place the collagen and matcha in a mug. Pour the boiling water into the mug, leaving room for milk. Stir throughly. Add the sweetener and milk, stir. Relax and enjoy!

My 2.5 year old asked me to buy him dumbbells the My 2.5 year old asked me to buy him dumbbells the other day. He said he wanted to workout like Mommy. 

I love that at even such a young age Mason is learning what a healthy lifestyle looks like. He sees his father and me working out each morning and enjoying nutritious foods.

We can’t force our kids to live our lifestyle, but we can definitely be a positive influence by showing them how to be healthy every day.
